Chris Arnell joined Kaplan Law Firm as a summer associate in 2017. Chris attends Baylor Law School, where he was named Best Oralist in the Strasburger Price Moot Court Competition. Chris also competed in the Mack Kidd Administrative Law Moot Court Competition as well as the 2016 National Trial Competition hosted by the Texas Young Lawyers Association. In addition to competing during law school, Chris spent his first summer in Dallas interning with the Honorable Judge Staci Williams of the 101st District Court, and the Honorable Judge Ken Tapscott of County Court-at-Law No. 4.
Prior to attending law school, Chris spent four years competing in the American Mock Trial Association while at the University of Texas. During that time, he earned the Outstanding Attorney award, the Spirit of AMTA award, and his team placed fourth at the American Mock Trial National Championship in 2015. Chris also competed in the Model United Nations where he earned the title of Outstanding Delegation in Committee.
Chris credits his success in advocacy competitions due to his competitive upbringing in motocross. Prior to attending college, Chris was a sponsored motocross rider. Since making the change to school, he has kept his competitive spirit alive by competing inside the courtroom.
