Austin Kaplan Quoted on DHS Contractor Firing

Austin Kaplan was recently quoted in an article about Wondercheck v. Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. on Law 360.

“Austin Harris Kaplan of Kaplan Law Firm PLLC, who represents Wondercheck, told Law360 the type of fraud alleged here is ‘unfortunately a fact pattern we see across Texas over and over again.’ He attacked Maxim’s stated reason for firing his client — waiting too long to report the fraud — as absurd. ‘Of course there’s no such policy because reporting the fraud at any point in time is better than not reporting it at all,’ he said. ‘So no one would have such a policy like that… because that would further dissuade people from reporting. In fact, if they had such a policy it might violate [the law].’”
